Habitat 2009

Volunteers from our Jewish community began “Raising the Roof” on August 21 and August 28 for our 8th Habitat for Humanity Home. This year's partnership with Louisville's Episcopal and Presbyterian Communities is dubbed ICE: Interfaith Community Effort. The homeowner, Ashley Bethel and her children, Chiniah and LaBryant are very excited and grateful for our efforts. This two-story home is in a well-established neighborhood at 4022 Grand Ave.

Habitat for HumanityThanks to Volunteers and Supporters

Thanks to builders who have already helped with construction.  Each house has a sponsorship fee of $33,000 to pay for materials.  Thanks to those who made a donation.  Without your support this project would not have been possible!

Louisville, which joined the partnership at its inception in 1998, is one of 16 Jewish communities in the Central Area Consortium paired with Israel’s Western Galilee region, a strip of land along the Mediterranean Sea. Read more... JCL Update 07/23/10
