On June 5, 2010, Dr. Belinda Setters, MD will be Shabbat Scholar at Adath Jeshurun.  She will be discussing “Aging in Place. Dr. Setters is an Assistant Professor of Geriatric Medicine and the Director of Geriatric Hospital Services for the Department of Family & Geriatric Medicine at the University of Louisville

The Journal of Housing for the Elderly defines aging in place as “not having to move from one's present residence in order to secure necessary support services in response to changing needs.” In other words the objective of aging in place is to allow you to continue living in your home safely and independently as you get older.

Dr. Setters will be speaking following the kiddush lunch on June 5th.
